Fifa Rankings: Nigeria Now Ranked 34th In The World



It is the coveted list that cements your country as a force to be reckoned with in the football world. Just incase you don’t know, we are taking about the FIFA World Ranking.
The 2014 World Cup was the place to try to up the ante and keep people buzzing about the players in the country.
Our Super Eagles may have lost to France in the Quarter Finals, but they were clearly greatly appreciated. Out of 208 countries listed, Nigeria takes the 34th slot, that is 10 spots up from the previous list.
The Eagles are now the third-ranked African side behind Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire who finished in the 24th and 25th positions.
Of course, champions Germany take the number one position, with Argentina coming in 2nd, Netherlands 3rd, Colombia 4th and Belgium 5th. Brazil who had a humiliating finish takes the 7th position and France rounds up the Top 10.
