10m iPhones 6 plus sold by Apple in first three days

Jamael Ahmed celebrated on Friday after being the first to buy an iPhone 6 at the Apple Store at Covent Garden in London

Apple Inc have reported that the company has recorded more than 10 million sales of the new iPhone 6 plus in the first three days underscoring strong demand for phones with larger displays. The phone which was on a high demand from customers after it went on sale on Friday, September 19, 2014, is now the higher sales recorded than the nine million new iPhones it sold last year in their first weekend on sale. Speaking on the sales, a rep from Apple said ‘The first-weekend iPhone sales number continues to be more about how much Apple can supply than what the demand is in the market.’ Maynard Um, a senior research analyst for Wells Fargo, has predicted that Apple will sell about 58 million iPhones in the holiday quarter...
Timothy Cook, Apple’s chief, greeted customers Friday at a Palo Alto, Calif, store where hundreds waited for the new iPhones
