Shoki
According to a recent tweet by award winning on air personality Tolu Oniru, better known has Toolz, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has just banned the smash hit tune ‘Shoki’ by Lil Kesh. The radio personality wrote, ‘No way! NBC just banned Shoki!!! Ahhhh shoki!’ She went on add that ‘Apparently shoki means ‘Quickie’ in yoruba…never heard that before’. Even though the NBC is yet to update the recent development on their official website, some of the artistes concerned have started commenting on the ban. Recall that there are three very popular versions of the ‘Shoki’ song done by YBNL’s Lil Kesh, Orezi, and Dre San. Responding to the ban, Lil Kesh wrote, ‘Lmfao! NBC don ban my song o! Shout out sawon goons mi. thanks for the love and the support #TeamYBNL’. See tweets below…...
