Mr Bello shared this secret tit-bit in a recent interview with Toke Makinwa, on her show ‘Trending’ which airs on HipTV. When asked what music was like for him while growing up,Bello said: ‘I never knew I wanted to do music but it has always been a part of me. I love the sound of the guitar and I formed my first group in primary 5 called the Jazzkids that was when I wrote my 1st official song. But I never really thought I’ll do it professionally.’... 

AIM Group Managing Director nominated for the OFR Award

Group Managing Director of AIM Group, Amin Moussalli is among three hundred and five personalities to be conferred with national honors in Nigeria.

A statement issued in Abuja, said President Goodluck Jonathan approved the award of National Honors to Nigerians and friends of the country, who have distinguished themselves in various walks of life. The investiture, which holds at 9.00 a.m. on the 29th of this September, will see Engineer Moussalli receiving Officer of the Federal Republic.

The R&B diva keeps her lover satisfied on the disco-tinged number, while Iggy Azalea sets it off with a cocky rap verse.

 “I hope it’s a song people can listen to and let the music do what it’s meant to; help let go of all that stuff that holds you back and just take a minute to dance and feel good,” Hudson told online news hub BuzzFeed.

Still on top! Guardians Of The Galaxy dominates box office for fourth weekend with $10m

Guardians Of The Galaxy continued to rule at the weekend box office as it finished in first place for the fourth weekend with $10.2 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates on Sunday.

The cosmic Marvel adventure starring Chris Pratt, 35 and Zoe Saldana, 36, has earned $294.6 million in the US after six weeks of release. 

The story of intergalactic do-gooders also became the top grossing film of the year in North America, eclipsing the $259.8 million earned by fellow Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The sci-fi romp earned an additional $11.5 million internationally to bring its worldwide total to $586.2 million.

Despite the ongoing success of Guardians, the weekend box office was the most sluggish of the year with the total for all films released projected at $65 million, down 23 percent from a year ago, according to Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for box-office tracker Rentrak.

Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sliced off second place in its fifth weekend with $6.5 million, bring the domestic total of the live-action superhero reboot starring Megan Fox and Will Arnett to $174.6 million.

The Warner Bros young-adult novel adaptation If I Stay starring Chloe Grace Moretz took third place in its third weekend with $5.7 million.

The weekend's only new release, The Identical, starring Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd, bombed with only $1.9 million as it debuted in 11th place.

The musical drama tells the story of identical twin brothers separated at birth during the Great Depression with one growing up to be an Elvis Presley-like star while his brother yearns for music while trying to please his preacher father.

The Identical was unable to find the same success that several faith-based films have enjoyed this year, including Heaven Is For Real, God's Not Dead and Son Of God.

It trailed behind another faith-friendly film in its third weekend When The Game Stands Tall that came in at eighth place with $3.7 million for a US total of $23.5 million.

The Identical played in 1,956 theaters and could have one of the worst openings of all time, according to a report on Sunday by The Hollywood Reporter.

Lucy, starring Scarlett Johannsson, rounded out the top 10 in North America with a $1.94 million weekend haul as it crossed the $300 million mark worldwide.

 Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Rentrak. Where available, the latest international numbers are also included.

Linda Culkin sentence to 4years in prison over cyber-stalking against Kevin Spacey

A woman who threatened to blow up, torture and castrate the actor Kevin Spacey has been sentenced to more than four years in prison.

Prosecutors said Linda Louise Culkin, from Massachusetts, launched a persistent and malevolent cyber-stalking campaign against the Oscar winner. She pleaded guilty in November to charges including mailing threatening communications, and sending false information regarding explosives. The 55-year-old has been in prison since January 2012, meaning she has about 18 months left to serve.

Wizkid’s album tops iTunes chart just 18 hours after release

Wizkid’s sophomore album ‘Ayo’ was released on iTunes yesterday Setember 17, 2014 and even though the singer said the album was leaked, the long-awaited album is currently resting comfortably at the top of the album chart on iTunes at the moment. Wizkid’s album is currently 3 places above P-Square’s ‘Double Trouble’ album in the world music chart, and the album has also made its way to the 99th slot  in the top 100 albums for all categories....

Star boy, Wizkid, dropped his album yesterday on iTunes and it’s has risen to the top of the iTunes album chart within hours of its release, leading to the EME artiste receiving a lot of congratulatory messages from fans and associates worldwide. But among those who have congratulated is a young music star known widely as Davido who has also reached out to the Surulere-born star to congratulate him on the success of his new album. Davido tweeted today, saying: ‘Congratulations to both P SQUARE And WIZKID On their Album release May God continue to bless y’all OBO’. If you are a fast rising artiste who intends to feature multiple awards winning African artiste of the year Davido on a song, then you need to read this. In a recent interview with NET, Danagog ‘Daniel Agunbiade’, who is signed to Davido-led HKN Records said, ‘Davido has love for everybody, he does collabo for people without charging them a dime. And, I believe Davido and Wizkid will collabo, soon. We have the same producer, Shizzi. The fight will end soon; they are both interested in money. They will record a song together’. He went on to shed more light on the Wizkid and Davido beef, saying he was with them at the airport before they left Nigeria for New York and they were cool together. Hear him: ‘I was with Davido at the airport. We were there for about 3 hours, because the flights were delayed. There were a lot of artistes there, and we all mingled together. I remember shuttling between Wizkid’s car and Davido’s car for about 4 times. ‘There was someone else with Wizkid that day, his name is Roli, he sells clothes and jewelries to top shots in the industry, Wizkid and Davido as well. He left Wizkid’s car for Davido’s and went to Wizkid again. NBC bans Lil Kesh’s ‘Shoki’, Shoki means 'QUICKIE'' in yoruba....as in shap shap...

According to a recent tweet by award winning on air personality Tolu Oniru, better known has Toolz, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has just banned the smash hit tune ‘Shoki’ by Lil Kesh. The radio personality wrote, ‘No way! NBC just banned Shoki!!! Ahhhh shoki!’ She went on add that ‘Apparently shoki means ‘Quickie’ in yoruba…never heard that before’. Even though the NBC is yet to update the recent development on their official website, some of the artistes concerned have started commenting on the ban. Recall that there are three very popular versions of the ‘Shoki’ song done by YBNL’s Lil Kesh, Orezi, and Dre San. Responding to the ban, Lil Kesh wrote, ‘Lmfao! NBC don ban my song o! The 2014 edition of Nigeria’s biggest music awards ,The Headies is set to hold in Lagos on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Landmark Event Centre at Lekki, Lagos. Since the inception of the awards in 2006, organizers of the awards have ensured that the venue reflects the class associated with the award, with the debut edition holding at the Shell Hall of Muson Centre back then. Away from the venue, another integral part of the award are the hosts, usually personalities who are very well known and in demand. But there’s one question that’s been left to lyrical lore: Which player is he talking about?

It’s often been rumored that the guy Big’s rhyming about is John Starks, a now-retired former fan-favorite. But on an episode of the ESPN show “Highly Questionable,” Starks said not only is it not about him, but he knows who it was about.

“That wasn’t me,” he said. “First and foremost, I’m not 6’5″; I’m 6’2″, actually.” The height comment is a reference to the late rapper’s line on the Life After Death track where he says he was at the house of, “One of them 6’5″ n—as.”

French Montana Gets Somber On ‘Suicide’

French Montana is in a contemplative mood on his latest track, “Suicide,” which dropped on Tuesday (September 16).

“Sometimes I look at my son, then I picture my father/ When he looked at his son and understood his story,” he raps to open the track, which has a somber tone throughout.

There are other moments that are a bit more classically Montana, with French delivering his seasoned street talk: “I’m talkin’ 500 murders, about 100 I knew/ I’m talkin’ 500 cases, ’bout 400 that blew.”

It’s not yet clear if this is off the rapper’s upcoming sophomore album, Mac & Cheese 4, which is due in November. French told MTV News over the summer that he had already recorded five tracks with Kanye West for the project.

Plus, he’s got Yeezy, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross on his next single, which we’re guessing will be a little more upbeat than this.

Jamie Foxx ‘Turn Up’ On His First New Single In 4 Years, ‘Party Ain’t A Party’

Jamie Foxx makes his musical return after a four-year hiatus with the new 2 Chainz-assisted single, “Party Ain’t A Party.”

The DJ Mustard-produced track begins with an opening salvo from Tity Two Necklaces.

“Do not disturb sign on the door, need to record so I got a camcorder/I’m playing Pandora I might break her aorta,” he raps.

In keeping with the song’s title, the Oscar-winner sings about all the accoutrements associated with the proper turn-up: models, bottles and diamond-encrusted jewels.

“VIP wherever we at, tomorrow night we might relapse, so back that ass up like Juve, cause you already know I need that,” he sings with just the right amount of bravado.

During his promo run for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ earlier this year, the triple threat entertainer told MTV News that he was already working on his new album.

Kennis Music to sign Project Fame contestant, Christian.

Music executive, Kenny ‘KeKe’ Ogungbe of Kennis Music may be signing a new artist onto his label soon following a stint as the guest judge on the ongoing Project Fame 7.0. Overwhelmed by the renditions from the 8 finalists at the weekend, Keke encouraged the rising stars to hold onto their dreams of becoming music stars. But he reserved a special piece of advice for Ghanaian contestant, Christian K. Amoah, who wowed the audience, judges and the Faculty members with an outstanding  and unique performance. ‘Be ready to relocate to Nigeria to do music,’ Kenny told the young man, which might just be a hint that Mr Ogungbe is ready to do more than verbally encourage the contestant. Christian, who performed ‘Kiss Your Hand’ by R2bees ft Wande Coal was also awarded the title ‘Owode 1 of MTN Project Fame West Africa’ by the Faculty members....
